Gigapixles of Andromeda

Just how big is our universe?  A common metaphor is to say your on the beach and try to imagine yourself as a grain of sand along the vast coastline.  However, ones imagination may be lacking, so this video of the Andromeda galaxy will help to put it into perspective for you.

NASA has released the largest and sharpest photograph ever made of the Andromeda Galaxy which happens to be the nearest spiral galaxy to ours that contains an estimated 1 trillion stars.  The image itself weighs in at 1.5 gigapixels and would take up 4.3 gb if you wanted to save it.
