Alright alright The DNA Life is back after a week long New York City hiatus. We’re back with a new outlook on life, a stomach full of pizza(seriously though), and a crap load of new artists to share with you. One artist in particular, Eugenia Loli, caught my eye while surfing the interwebz. Born in Greece, Loli now resides in sunny California and has had some important careers before finding herself in art. Loli spent time as a nurse, computer programmer, technology journalist, and a filmmaker. Thankfully she took some of the talents she learned from animation to create some of these trippy collages.
“Eugenia Loli originated in the technology sector, but she left that impersonal world behind in order to build new, exciting worlds via her art. Her collages, with the help of the title, often include a teasing, visual narrative, as if they’re a still frame of a surreal movie. The viewers are invited to make up the movie’s plot in their mind.”
I couldn’t agree more with Loli’s artist statement, take a peek at her work below and create your own movie plot.
